The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said Hunter Rivera, a 24-year-old who lives in Windsor, was arrested during “an operation targeting child predators.”
“Investigators posed as minors selling sexual acts on local websites and forums,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. “Several dozen people responded to the listings, and two men arrived at an agreed-upon location to buy sex. They were met by deputies who arrested and booked the men into the Larimer County jail.”

Rivera was being held Friday on a $6,500 cash-only bond.
Rivera, who didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, previously served as an aide to Republican legislators at the Colorado Capitol.
State House and Senate Republican leaders issued a statement Friday night urging Rivera to resign as chair of the county party.
