Colorado turns 150 years young today. Happy sesquicentennial to the Centennial State.

Happy statehood day, Colorado. So this is what 150 years old looks like. As the 38th state to join in the union, we’re glad you did.

For the past few months The Colorado Sun has been celebrating many of the things unique about the Centennial State in our Colorado 150 project, taking a look at 150 things across 15 categories that just lean into Colorado’s awesomeness. We hope you enjoy it and have a chance to get out to celebrate Colorado, either on a hike in the high country, raising a glass at one of our great restaurants or enjoying with your neighbors at one of a number of community events happening across the state.
